I came across the work of Sri Lankan painter Sanjeewa Kumara in the Paradise Road Gallery in Colombo. Since first admiring them, they seemed to crop up everywhere whilst we travelled around the island. I love his use of colour and slightly naive style. The imagery is a fascinating collection of spiritual objects and evocative shapes, a mixture of heritage and fiction.
