I was prompted to look up Traon’s work after seeing her psychedelic window installation ‘Apocalyptic Landscapes’ in the Electrum gallery on South Molten Street. Make sure you wander past it, it is incredible. Entirely impractical but certainly attention-grabbing, her jewellery is a huge mishmash of different materials, textures and colour, all piled on top of one another like an ice-cream sundae.

However, within the chaos are small details or objects that create a stage and add even further to the sense of surrealism.

I also came across this series of her work, taken from her portfolio upon graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2007. Very witty.
